Threat Pattern Recognition Course

The Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy will present a Threat Pattern Recognition Instructor Course. The course will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Academy. The tuition for this course includes all notebooks, handouts and refreshments.

This course will include:

Human Factors Research Group (HFRG), formerly known as PPCT, is pleased to introduce the results from their ongoing research involving officers injured or killed in the line of duty. "Threat Pattern Recognition" is a research-based approach to firearms and defensive tactics training.

Grounded in the statistics dating back to 1854 with the first recorded US law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, this course will provide you with information and knowledge you need to enhance your use-of-force training to better prepare your officers for the threats that they will face.

This 8-hour Instructor class will cover past, current and ongoing training and research, as well as teaching the student simple drills to enhance their physical response to a threat.

This class is geared towards firearms instructors, defensive tactics instructors, physical skills trainers, academy staff and training managers!

Cost: $95.00. (incl. binder, handouts, certificate)

Materials Needed: Holster/ duty belt, training gun, roll of painters tape, tripod, laser capable of remaining on and attached to tripod
